Beschreibung

The development of international research instruments based on World Health Organization (WHO) classification systems has expanded rapidly in the last 20 years in medical rehabiliation for a targeted monitoring of the effectiveness of systems' health strategies. WHO-based global survey tools are generated to measure ability levels and manage large data sets of rehabilitation services for populations (for example the World Bank Model Disability Survey tool). Current research findings indicate that the development of assessment tools on WHO-standards result in good to very good psychometric properties. In this regard, a WHO based assessment tool for the digital measuring of equine assisted therapy interventions (EAT) was developed in a long-term research process. The aim of the research approach was to develop an international compatible assessment tool, to collect and compare larger quantities of therapy data from different countries in international collabortation studies and high-level study designs in order to professionalize the field.
