Combined analysis of verbal and nonverbal aspects in the assessment of video-taped simulated physician-patient communication of breaking bad news– a new methodological approach

The study investigates the relevance of the patient’s nonverbal behaviour as a target variable in combination with the standard evaluation of communicative performance in physician-patient communication, as measured with the Kölner Evaluationsbogen Kommunikation (KEK) and Aufklärungsgesprächbewertungsskala (AGBS).
