IOC Online Encyclopedia "Essential Readings"

Prof. Stephan Wassong is a collaborating partner in the project IOC Online Encyclopedia "Essential Writings". The project is managed by the IOC Olympic Studies Centre, which is the academic unit of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage. The aim of the project is to produce a set of articles that will serve as an easily accessible reference source for educators, students, Olympic Movement stakeholders, researches and the media. The set of articles will include the following four main themes: 1. The historical development of the IOC and the Olympic Games, 2. Cultural Dimensions of the Olympic Games, 3. The Organization of the Olympic Movement and the Games, 4. The Olympic Movement and its relevance in contemporary society.
