Research profile
Tobias Vogt is Vice-President Research and Transfer at the German Sport University Cologne.
As Head of Institute, he holds a Professorship in the Institute of Professional Sport Education and Sport Qualifications at the German Sport University.
His research focusses on sport-specific movement learning and motor control linked to educational concepts of teaching and coaching, particularly, in physical education and school sport as well as talent promotion programmes for young athletes' identification and development.
He was invited for several months of research (Australia, United Kingdom) and established a funded graduate school whilst regularly researching and lecturing at the Waseda University (Japan) between 2016 and 2018; in 2019 he was awarded an Adjunct Associate Professorship for three years at its Faculty of Sport Sciences.
Tobias Vogt represents the German Sport University in a 'Research Network on Children and Youth Sports', serves in the StarS Advisory Board, is a Fellow as well as a Member of the Scientific Committee in the European College of Sport Science and Official Delegate to the Leadership Council of the Global Sport University Network.
