Pierre de Coubertin and the Future

The OSC Cologne has contributed to the well-received symposium “Pierre de Coubertin and the Future” organised by the Comité International Pierre de Coubertin (CIPC). The Director of the OSC Cologne, Prof. Dr. Stephan Wassong, was responsible for developing the academic program of the symposium, which was held at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne on 24 and 25 January 2014 on the 150th anniversary year of the birth of Pierre de Coubertin. International scholars who have developed a research expertise on Coubertin, his Olympic project and his educational ideas delivered wide-ranging lectures on the topic ‘Coubertin and the Future’. In January 2016, the identically-named Congress publication has been published.
