Research objective

This project is about the distractibility or rather the concentration ability of competitive athletes. Specifically, Lavie’s (1995) perceptual load theory in basketball and football is examined. New findings in previous vs. later selection debates on perception are aimed for. In the field of basketball, expertise relevant mediators are explored in the style of the expert performance approach (William and Ericsson, 2005).
