Abstract

Compared to males, females have a higher risk for suffering a non-contact anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. ACL injury prevention programs appear to lack game specificity, and relationships between knee loading, technique, and performance have rarely been reported. This study aimed to determine if a handball-specific ACL injury prevention program can lower knee joint loading while enhancing performance and optimizing cutting techniques in females.
