Abstract

What climatic conditions do we need to be prepared for in the future? This essential question for the design of adaptation strategies and measures is answered by presenting "climate guard rails" for the near future (2021-2050) and the distant future (2071-2100) for tourism in Baden-Württemberg. The "climate guard rails" present a plausible scenario with different model calculations for the range of future climate change in Baden-Württemberg. In particular, scientific reports from 2013 serve as an important basis for the adaptation strategy in terms of content and methodology and can be found on the LUBW website under the heading "Climate Change and Adaptation". The reports analyse vulnerability in the fields of action. From this, action targets were derived and adaptation measures were developed. The necessary research work was accompanied by departmental working groups in which experts from administration, science and practice were able to contribute their experience and knowledge.
