Wheelchair athletes make vigorous of their upper extremities during daily living and exercise and demonstrate a high prevalence of overuse injuries in the shoulder, wrist and elbow region. In order to improve handcycling performance and indicate possible risks for overuse, we examined the kinematics, kinetics and muscular activity of a 15-s all-out sprint test in able-bodied participants.
