Short-Curriculum Vitae (English)

Dr. Ingo Wagner studied at the German Sport University Cologne, the University of Cologne, and the Sorbonne University (Paris). He graduated in Sport Science, Mathematics, Philosophy, and Education. He was Visiting Lecturer at the University of Brighton (School of Sport and Service Management, UK) and worked as a school teacher in Cologne. Since 2008 he works as University Lecturer and Research Associate at the German Sport University and conducts further training for teachers.

Ingo Wagner has been repeatedly funded by the German Sport University Cologne (internal research grant 2010, scholarship 2013), by travel grants (2007, 2012, 2013), and by the Ministry of Schools and Further Education of North Rhine-Westphalia. Furthermore, he was a grantee of the “Studienstiftung Rheinfrieden” as well as the doctoral program of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

For his research work Ingo Wagner received the “emerging researcher award” (2013) by the German Sports Society and the "Karl-Hofmann" award (2017).  His outstanding university teaching was awarded by the German Sports University in 2011.
