Abstract
Digital technology and e-learning have been applied in dance education at the German University of Sport Science for more than ten years. While dance education via live stream had appeared impossible before, the live stream format enabled practical dance classes to continue during the corona shutdown in spring 2020. Livestreams shed new light on established educational practices and objectives. On the one hand, qualities of life aesthetic experience became evident. On the other hand, new digital facilities presented themselves as worth maintaining. The realization of live streams on the university level differed significantly from educational dance classes elsewhere. Here dance teachers and students had to face different problems.
